so i just heard about this brand new warhammer game, warhammer age of sigmar: deathmaster, and i am totally stoked. it's an action platformer where you get to play as a skaven, which is basically a murderous ratman, and i have to say, it's kind of refreshing to be on the other side of things for a change. i mean, we're used to slicing through skaven hordes in games like vermintide, but this time we get to be the ones doing the sneaking and stabbing.



i've always had a bit of a soft spot for the skaven, they're just so... delightfully evil. and in deathmaster, you get to play as vihneek, a skaven who's trying to climb the ranks of clan eshin, which is like the ninja clan of the skaven world. you'll have to use all your cunning and stealth skills to set traps, exploit your surroundings, and take out your enemies without being seen. it sounds like so much fun, and i love that it's a more intimate, personal experience compared to some of the other warhammer games out there.



the game is being developed by old skull games, which is a studio that's done some really cool work in the past, like cryptical path, a 2d action roguelike that got some great reviews. and the publisher, dotemu, has a pretty good track record when it comes to action games, having published stuff like ninja gaiden: ragebound and marvel cosmic invasion. so, i'm pretty hopeful that deathmaster is going to be a great game. plus, the fact that old skull games also developed a spongebob squarepants game is just kind of amusing, since spongebob is
