omg, guys, have you heard about wrath: aeon of ruin vr - brutal edition? it's coming to ps vr2 on april 9 and i am so hyped. i mean, i've played some intense games in my time, but this one looks like it's going to take things to a whole new level. the developers, team beef and flat2vr, are calling it the "brutal edition" for a reason - they've totally rebuilt the game from the ground up to make the most of vr.

so, what makes this version so special? for starters, it's not just a port of the original game. the devs have gone back in and refined everything to make it feel like a native vr experience. that means new mechanics like a slide feature that lets you move quickly and aggressively without losing speed, and a blade dash that's now a real combat tactic. they've also added dual wielding, which gives you way more control and reduces recoil. it all sounds super fast-paced and intense.

i'm also loving the sound of the game's new physicality. artifacts are no longer just screen prompts - you can actually throw, break, and deploy them in the game world. the ui has been moved onto your hand, and you can even pull out a physical journal to navigate. it all sounds super immersive and cool. and, of course, the graphics and sound design have been pushed to the limit to make everything feel super violent and visceral. slow motion and a way-point guidance system are just a couple of the new features that are designed to make the game feel faster and more tactical.
one of the things that really stands out about this game is its performance on ps vr2. it runs at a smooth 90hz, which is pretty crazy
