i just saw the coolest post from playstation about their share of the week feature, and it's all about the sun. basically, they asked people to share screenshots from their favorite games that feature the sun, and the results are gorgeous. i love seeing what other gamers come up with when they're given a theme like this.



i scrolled through the highlights, and there are some really stunning shots. one that caught my eye was from saros - the way the eclipsed sun is shining down on the character is so moody and atmospheric. and then there's this beautiful shot from ghost of yōtei, with the sun setting over a cliffside... it's just perfect for a fantasy gamer like me who loves that kind of scenery.



another game that made an appearance is horizon forbidden west, with a screenshot of aloy looking up at the sun. it's not just the big action games that are featured, though - there are also some more chill games like sea of stars and infinity nikki, which show off the sun in a more peaceful way. and of course, no sun-themed post would be complete without a shot from the witcher 3, which always has the most beautiful landscapes.

if you want to get in on the action, playstation has announced the theme for next week: assassin's creed black flag resynced. you can submit your own screenshots using a specific hashtag, and you might even get featured. preorders are available at major retailers, so if you haven't checked out the game yet, now's the time. the deadline to submit is july 22, 2026, so start snapping those screenshots and show off your favorite sun-filled moments from the game.
