omg, you guys, have you heard about the new resident evil movie? it's being directed by zach cregger, who's basically a huge fan of the series, and i am so here for it. the teaser trailer just dropped and it's giving me all the spooky vibes. i love how the movie is going to be an original story set in the resident evil world, but still staying true to the spirit of the games.

i think what really drew me in was learning about zach cregger's own experiences with the resident evil series. he talked about how he first played resident evil 2 and was blown away by the survival horror mechanics - you know, having to conserve ammo and make tough decisions about what to carry and what to leave behind. it's so cool to see how that's influenced his approach to the movie, and how he wants to bring that sense of tension and fear to the big screen.

one thing that really stood out to me was when zach cregger talked about his favorite scare in the resident evil series. he mentioned this one moment in resident evil village where you're in a creepy doll house and being hunted by this giant baby - oh my gosh, just thinking about it is giving me the chills. apparently, it was so intense that he had to take a break and come back to it later, and i can totally relate to that. i've had those moments playing resident evil games too, where i just had to step away and collect my thoughts.
so, the movie is set in the world of resident evil 2, which is just amazing. it's not a retelling of the game's story, but rather a new tale that takes place on the sidelines of the events in raccoon city. zach cregger wantsRead more: Full article on blog.playstation.com
