omg, you guys, i just found out about this hilarious new game called pro jank footy and i am so down to try it out. it's basically a crazy, over-the-top take on australian rules football, which, let's be real, already sounds like a pretty wild sport. the game is coming out on august 12 for the playstation 5, and i'm low-key obsessed with the idea of it.



so, from what i've gathered, pro jank footy is all about embracing the chaos and absurdity of the sport, with a ton of random power-ups that can totally flip the game on its head. like, imagine playing a sports game where you can suddenly turn your opponents into seagulls or make your own team gigantic - it sounds like total madness, and i am here for it. the game has over 150 power-ups, ranging from simple stuff like making your team faster to utterly bonkers things like adding a third team to the game.



i love that the developers are all about keeping things light-hearted and fun, even for people who aren't usually into sports games (like me, lol). the creative director, david ashby, says that he's not exactly a sports game pro himself, but he wanted to create a game where losing can actually be kind of rewarding, thanks to the power-up system. and, honestly, that sounds like a total game-changer to me. i mean, who doesn't love the idea of getting a sweet power-up just for losing a bunch of goals?
