i'm super stoked to share the news that order of the sinking star is coming to ps5 - it's a massive puzzle adventure that's all about mystery, magic, and some serious head-scratching. the game is being developed by thekla, the same studio behind braid and the witness, so you know it's gonna be good.

from what i've gathered, order of the sinking star is all about discovery - the story is there, but it's not slammed in your face. instead, you get to uncover it bit by bit as you play through the game. the demo showed off some pretty cool environmental storytelling, where the world is full of obstacles and weirdness. you play as different characters, each with their own abilities, and you have to use those abilities to overcome puzzles and progress through the game.

the gameplay mechanics are pretty cool - you can rewind time if you get stuck, which is a total lifesaver. and the puzzles themselves? they start off simple, but get crazy complicated fast. you'll be using everything from pushing blocks around to using magic to swap places with objects. and just when you think you've got the hang of it, the game throws in some new characters and abilities to mix things up.
one of the things that really stands out about order of the sinking star is the variety of characters and worlds you get to play in. from a warrior to a thief to a wizard, each character has their own unique abilities and playstyle. and the worlds themselves? they're all totally different, from a maze-like mine to a waterlogged archipelago. it's like the game is constantly surprising you and keeping you on your toes.
i'm also loving the fact that there are monsters in the game, but you don't have to fight
