ok, so you guys, there's this super cool game called onimusha: way of the sword coming out on ps5 on september 25, and i am literally so hyped. it's all about sword fighting and action, set in this historic city in japan called kyoto during the early edo period. the main character, miyamoto musashi, gets these crazy powers from the oni, which is like a supernatural force, and has to fight all these monstrous creatures called genma.



so, the game's combat system sounds amazing - it's all about realistic sword fighting with a ton of depth and strategy. you've got parrying, deflecting, and these intense superhuman battles that are fueled by the power of the oni. there are also all these special moves and abilities, like reflex combo, which lets you dodge enemy attacks and then unleash a powerful counterattack, and oni strength, which breaks through enemy defenses. it all looks so slick and polished, i can already imagine the thrill of playing it.



the demo is actually out now, and it lets you play through the first 30 minutes of the story, which is set in this beautiful temple stage. you get to try out all the different techniques and abilities, like parry and deflect, and see how the combat system works. plus, if you save your progress in the demo, you can get this special charm in the full game that gives you a beneficial effect, which is a nice bonus. although, it's worth noting that your progress won't carry over to the full version, so don't get too attached to your demo playthrough.
