so i just got a sneak peek at the first boss battle in denshattack!, a sick new game where you play as a train that can basically do anything - kickflip, ollie, grind, you name it. it's set in this crazy dystopian japan where the rich are all safe and sound in their fancy domes, while everyone else is just trying to survive. and that's where the denshattack movement comes in - a group of rebels who have taken over the old train tracks and are using them to fight for recognition.

i'm seriously loving the vibe of this game so far - it's like a mix of tony hawk's pro skater and jet set radio, with a dash of anime and japanese pop culture thrown in. the story follows this young ramen delivery girl named emi who discovers denshattack and sets out on this wild journey across japan, battling gang leaders and learning new tricks along the way. each region has its own unique gang and leader, with their own style and personality - it's really cool.

so the first boss battle is against this influencer named yoshie, who's got a serious gyaru vibe going on - all about glamour, volume, and confidence. she's got this totally over-the-top transformation sequence where her train turns into this huge magical girl-esque mecha, complete with bows and stars and hearts. it's honestly kind of amazing. the battle itself is pretty intense - emi has to use all the tricks and combos she's learned so far to take down yoshie's mecha.

the gameplay looks really fast-paced and frenetic, with emi dodging punches and projectiles and launching herself at the mecha with these crazy forceful attacks. it's not just about smashing into the enemy, though
