omg, you guys, marathon season 2 is almost here and i am beyond hyped. it's dropping on june 2, and we'll even get to try it out for ourselves during open play week, which runs from june 2 to 9. the best part? we won't need a playstation plus membership to play, and any progress we make will carry over into the new season.

so, what can we expect from season 2? for starters, the dire marsh is getting a major makeover. they're introducing a new night marsh zone, where the lights are out and it's all about survival. i mean, can you imagine navigating through pitch darkness, relying on your wits and quick reflexes to make it out alive? it sounds super intense, and i love it. we'll have some new tools to help us out, like attached lights on our runner shells and darksight scopes, but we'll also have to deal with new enemies and a more intense atmosphere.

one of the things i'm most excited about is the new sentinel shell. it's all about defense and control, with tools and abilities that let you shape encounters and turn the tables on your enemies. it sounds like a totally new way to play, and i'm curious to see how it'll change up the game. we'll also have more control over our runner shell progression, thanks to the new cradle system. it's all about leveling up your weave worms and unlocking new upgrades and perks, and you can even reallocate your energy at any time to try out different paths.
