so i just heard about this new james bond game, 007: first light, and i'm super stoked. it's being developed by io interactive, the same people who made the hitman games, which is a total dream match if you ask me. they're all about sneaky stealth and clever planning, which is exactly what i want from a bond game.

i got to read about someone's hands-on experience with the game, and it sounds like they're doing a great job of mixing action and spy stuff. the game tells a new story, not based on any of the movies, and it's all about bond's early days as a spy. you get to play as a younger bond, who's still learning the ropes but already has that cool and collected vibe going on. the gameplay sounds really varied, with lots of options for sneaking around, fighting, or using gadgets to get out of trouble.

one of the missions they played through was set in iceland, where bond has to sneak past mercenaries and retrieve some mysterious item. it sounds like a real challenge, but also super fun. you have to use your wits to stay hidden, and then things can escalate into a full-on action sequence if you get caught. and of course, there are plenty of opportunities to use bond's charm and charisma to talk your way out of trouble - or into it, depending on how you play it.
the game also has a bunch of cool gadgets, courtesy of q, that you can use to distract or disarm enemies. there's a q lens that lets you see through walls, and a laser watch that can cut ropes or explode devices. and if things get up close and personal, you can use bond's fistfighting skills to take down enemies. it all sounds
