omg, you guys, have you heard about the drama going on with capcom and some youtubers who make mods for their games? apparently, one youtuber, grizzouk, got an email from capcom's lawyers asking him to take down over 1,000 videos featuring "adult-oriented" mods for games like resident evil requiem and stellar blade. i mean, i get it, capcom wants to protect their brand and all, but it's kinda sad to see mods getting shut down like this.

so, from what i understand, grizzouk had been making mods that put characters from these games in, um, let's say "skimpier" costumes. and capcom's lawyers were not having it, citing copyright and intellectual property laws. they even sent him a list of 1,004 videos to take down by april 21st, or else they'd take further action. that's some serious heat, if you ask me. and, yeah, grizzouk has complied with the request and taken down the videos, but it's got him (and probably other modders) wondering what they can and can't do with their channels now.

i've gotta admit, i'm a bit of a fan of mods myself, especially the ones that add a bit of humor or whimsy to games. and, let's be real, who doesn't love a good leon kennedy in a bikini mod? but, at the same time, i get why capcom might not want their games associated with, ahem, "adult-oriented" content. still, it's a bummer to see mods getting shut down like this, especially when they're just meant to be a bit of fun. and, who knows
