omg, you guys, the new james bond game, 007: first light, is almost here and i am so hyped. basically, the devs, io interactive, just dropped the first 13 minutes of the game on youtube, and it's giving me some serious metal gear solid vibes. i mean, the opening scene is all dark and gritty, with bond escaping from a crashed helicopter and sneaking around, trying not to get caught.



i have to say, i'm a bit surprised by the tone of the game so far. the trailers made it seem like it was going to be all action and explosions, but this opening scene is actually really low-key and stealthy. it's pretty cool, though - the art style is really similar to metal gear solid v: ground zeroes, and the gameplay looks like a mix of uncharted-style climbing and trad action adventure. i'm intrigued to see how the rest of the game plays out.
