omg, you guys, have you heard about the crazy price hikes for xbox consoles in the uk and europe? i just found out that they're raising the prices by like, a lot - we're talking between 34 and 49 percent more than they were just last month. i'm still trying to wrap my head around it, but basically, the xbox series x and series s consoles are now way more expensive than they used to be.



so, let's break it down - the 1tb xbox series x disc console used to be £500, but now it's £670. that's a whopping £170 price increase, which is just insane. and it's not just the most expensive console that's getting a price hike - even the cheapest one, the 512gb xbox series s, is going up from £300 to £430. that's a 43 percent increase, which is just crazy. i mean, i know inflation is a thing and all, but this seems like a lot to ask from gamers.



i'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes at microsoft, but apparently, they're having some trouble. they just announced a bunch of layoffs - like, 3,200 people lost their jobs, which is just devastating. and on top of that, their revenue from content and services dropped by 10 percent last quarter. it seems like they're trying to make up for it by raising the prices of their consoles, but i'm not sure that's the best idea. i mean, aren't they just going to drive people away from buying their consoles now?
