so, you guys heard about project helix, right? it's like, the next big thing from xbox, and everyone's been waiting for more info. well, they just did a special dev showcase, and i was kinda hoping for some juicy new details, but it turns out it was mostly just a replay of what they shared at gdc back in march.

i'm not gonna lie, i was a bit disappointed at first. i mean, i've been following all the rumors and teasers, and i was really hoping for something more substantial. but, as i watched the showcase, i realized it's actually pretty cool for devs and people who are into that side of things. they're talking about how project helix is gonna change the game (no pun intended), with its custom amd-based soc and directx stuff. it's all about making it easier for devs to create and optimize their games.

one thing that did catch my attention is that project helix is all about bringing xbox and pc games together. like, it's gonna be a vessel for both, which is pretty exciting. and, according to jason ronald, we can expect more news about it later this year. so, even though this showcase wasn't exactly what i was hoping for, it's still got me hyped for what's to come. plus, the fact that dev units won't be out until 2027 makes me think that they're really taking their time to get it just right.
