omg, you guys, have you heard about wuchang: fallen feathers? it's this really cool wuxia action game that's been making waves despite some crazy drama behind the scenes. basically, it's just hit a whopping 5 million players, which is insane considering the dev team basically fell apart a few months ago.

so, i was looking into the game's history, and apparently it was doing pretty well back in march 2026 - over 1 million copies sold and all that jazz. but then things took a turn when the core team at leenzee just... disbanded, i guess. reportedly, some key staff left and the rest of the team didn't want to stick around to just do support work. which, fair enough, i mean who wants to just be a support studio, right?

anyway, even though the main team is gone, the game is still racking up the numbers. it's got a pretty mixed steam score, but hey, no updates since november 2025 and it's still got people playing. i've seen some reviews calling it "soulslike comfort food", which i think is a pretty apt description - it's not super original, but it's fun and that's what counts, right? eurogamer seemed to think so, at least.
