so i just heard the news that bungie is laying off a bunch of people, mostly from the destiny team and some from the marathon team. it's really sad to see, especially since i've been a fan of destiny 2, even though it's had its ups and downs over the years. apparently, the game didn't quite live up to expectations, and now that it's finished, bungie is having to downsize.

i think it's kind of ironic that destiny 2 is actually doing pretty well on steam right now, with a lot of players still active. it's like people are coming back to say goodbye or something. but at the same time, it's hard not to wonder what could have been if bungie had just kept working on the game and fixing its issues. instead, it seems like they're just moving on to other projects, like marathon, which is still getting support from sony.

i'm not really sure what to make of the whole situation, to be honest. it's like, i get that companies have to make tough decisions sometimes, but it's hard to see so many people losing their jobs. and it's not like bungie is shutting down or anything, they're just... reorganizing, i guess. hermen hulst, the ceo of sony's studio business group, said that the layoffs are necessary to align the studio's resources with its current priorities and long-term goals. which, i mean, sounds like corporate speak to me.

anyway, preorders are available at major retailers, but i don't think that's really the point right now. the point is that a lot of people are losing their jobs, and it's just really sad. i hope that bungieRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
