okay, so i just found out about this pretty hilarious thing happening in the game windrose. apparently, players have been stumbling upon a metal band's hangout page by accident, and it's honestly the most wholesome thing i've heard all week. i mean, who wouldn't want to accidentally join a metal band's hangout, right?

i guess the reason this is happening is because the band's page has a similar name to something in the game, so players are just ending up there by mistake. it's not like they're trying to find a metal band or anything, they're just trying to play the game and then suddenly they're face to face with a bunch of metalheads. i can only imagine how confusing and funny that must be.

i think what i love most about this story is just how nice everyone is being about it. the metal band is apparently really cool about all these random gamers showing up in their hangout, and the players are just kind of... rolling with it, i guess. it's just a really nice example of how games can bring people together, even if it's not exactly intentional. preorders are available at major retailers, by the way, if you're interested in checking out windrose for yourself.

anyway, i just thought this was a funny story and i wanted to share it with you all. has anyone else heard about this or had a similar experience with a game? i feel like this kind of thing only happens in the gaming world, and it's just one of the many reasons i love it so much. also, if you're in a metal band, maybe consider putting a warning on your hangout page or something - you never know when a bunch of gamers might stumble in.Read more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
