so i just heard about this new game called outbound and i'm kinda intrigued. it's all about hitting the open road in a camper van, exploring the countryside, and crafting stuff - which sounds like a total dream come true for me. i mean, who hasn't fantasized about just leaving everything behind and driving off into the sunset?



i've been checking out some other games that are similar, like solarpunk and sand, but what draws me to outbound is that it's way more down-to-earth. no fantasy elements or crazy quests - just you, your van, and the open road. the game is all about building and customizing your mobile base, which is totally my thing. i love the idea of foraging for materials and crafting new items, even if it's not as complex as some other games out there.



outbound is available on pc for $24.99, and it's also verified for the steam deck, which is awesome. the gameplay is pretty relaxed, with a focus on exploration and building. you'll drive around, gather materials, and unlock new recipes and crafting stations. there's also a pet system, which is adorable - you can adopt a dog and even have it carry extra items for you. the building system is probably my favorite part, though - you can build all sorts of things, from utility items to decorations, and even customize your van.
