omg, you guys, arc raiders just got a major update and i am so down to dive back in. the new riven tides map is literally a beach holiday destination, complete with a collapsing hotel, tennis courts, and a ridiculously fun slide. i mean, who wouldn't want to play a game that lets you slide around while avoiding robots and other players trying to kill you?



the update also adds a new arc enemy, the aerial arc turbine, which sounds super creepy and challenging to fight. apparently, it's got some powerful defensive abilities that will require skill and patience to take down. i'm a bit nervous about facing it, but at the same time, i love a good challenge. the new map also comes with a minor map condition called beachcombing, where you have to scavenge for goodies while being more vulnerable to attacks. sounds like a thrilling way to mix things up.



one of the coolest new features, imo, is the addition of crash mats and powered descenders. these will make navigating the map so much easier and less punishing when you need to get down from high places quickly. the crash mat is especially hilarious, as you can throw it while falling and land safely - or at least, that's the idea. i can already imagine the funny moments when someone tries to shoot it out from under me.
