okay so you've probably heard by now that gta 6 is coming out in november, and i am beyond hyped. but there's been a bit of a twist - it's being marketed as a singleplayer experience, which means no multiplayer at launch. at first, i was a bit miffed about this, i mean who doesn't love causing chaos with friends in gta online?

but the more i think about it, the more it makes sense. i mean, gta online is still going strong after all these years, and it's clear that rockstar wants to give the singleplayer campaign the attention it deserves. and let's be real, the singleplayer is what's always made gta so amazing - the story, the characters, the sheer freedom to do whatever you want. it's what drew me in all those years ago, and it's what keeps me coming back.

i think it's also worth noting that we can pretty much guarantee a gta online sequel is in the works. i mean, rockstar isn't just going to abandon one of its most successful projects, especially not after acquiring the team behind fivem. so even if multiplayer isn't available at launch, it's likely that we'll see it later on - maybe even when the game launches on pc, which is apparently the home of gta roleplaying.
