omg you guys, have you seen the new total war: warhammer 40,000 gameplay video? it's insane. i'm talking explosions everywhere, limbs flying all over the place, and some serious graphics power needed to run it smoothly. i'm a bit worried my pc might not be able to handle it, to be honest.

the video shows a battle between the astra militarum and orks in the armageddon theatre campaign, and it looks absolutely chaotic. i love how the infantry dynamically splits into smaller squads to take advantage of cover, and the way they vault over barricades is so cool. but then the ogryns come along and just stomp through everything, destroying all the cover and making me realize that maybe preserving it isn't always the best strategy.

i'm really interested in the cover system in this game, and how it affects the way we play. it seems like we'll need to be careful about maneuvering our troops and using cover to our advantage, or else we'll end up with a bunch of dead soldiers. which, let's be real, is pretty much what happens to imperial guardsmen anyway - they have like, a 15-hour lifespan in combat or something. it's all about doing your duty and tying down the enemy, even if it means sacrificing yourself.
one thing that stood out to me was the way the heavy units, like the sentinel walkers and ogryns, just trash through barricades and ruins. it's so intense, and it really adds to the feeling of chaos and destruction on the battlefield. preorders are available at major retailers, and i'm definitely considering picking it up - although i might need to upgrade my pc first.

anyway, i'm super excited to see more of this game and howRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
