so, let's talk about some of the games that were just announced. first up, there's grave seasons, which is coming out on august 14, 2026. in this game, you play as a character who's trying to start a new life in a small town, but things quickly take a dark turn when you discover that there's a supernatural serial killer on the loose. you'll have to navigate the town, harvest crops, and try to solve the mystery behind the murders. oh, and you might even fall in love with the killer, which is just a whole other level of creepy.

another game that caught my eye is neverway, which is coming out in october 2026. this one has a really cool 8-bit aesthetic and combines farming and crafting with fast-paced combat. it's also got a pretty interesting soundtrack, and the fact that it's being co-created by the pixel artist of celeste is a major plus in my book. you can even play a free prologue right now to get a taste of the game.
