omg, you guys, there's a new vampire game coming out and it looks sooo good. it's called vampire: the masquerade - eternal whispers and it's basically a narrative-driven crpg that's giving me major disco elysium vibes. i mean, who doesn't love a good vampire story, right? and the fact that it's set in a dark, modern montreal just adds to the whole mysterious and intriguing atmosphere.

so, from what i've gathered, the game follows the story of gabe, a vampire who's just woken up from a decades-long sleep with no memory of who he is or what happened to him. he's guided by this character sam, who's a thin-blood vampire, and together they're on a mission to find this rogue ghoul. but, of course, things get complicated and they stumble upon this huge conspiracy involving some underground cathedral and a forbidden faith. it sounds like it's going to be a wild ride, and i am here for it.

one thing that's really interesting about eternal whispers is that there are no traditional combat encounters. instead, you can choose to be violent and ruthless through your actions and choices, which i think is a really cool way to approach the whole vampire thing. it's not just about mindless fighting, but about making decisions that have consequences. and speaking of consequences, the game has this "final death mode" that makes your choices even more permanent, which is kind of exciting and terrifying at the same time.

i'm a bit surprised that there's no console version announced yet, but i guess that's not a huge deal since it's a pc game first. the devs, flyos, are actually a board game studio, so this is their first video game, and theyRead more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
