so, you guys know how valve has been working on this new steam frame thing, right? it's like, a big deal for pc gamers, and it's finally starting to look like it's almost here. i mean, we've got a new "great on frame" category on steam now, which is pretty much like the "great on deck" tag, but for the steam frame obviously.

the category is live now, but there are only four games on it so far - portal 2, into black, aperture hand lab, and the lab. which, i have to say, is a pretty cool selection. into black is the only one not published by valve, which is kind of a big deal because it means valve is actually reaching out to other companies to get games on the steam frame. and, you know, it's not like they're just throwing any old games on there - these are all actually pretty great games.

i'm guessing we'll see more games added to the category over time, since the upcoming section is still empty. and, honestly, it feels like valve is just getting everything ready for the steam frame launch. i mean, we've got packages of the thing showing up in the us, and they're not just test builds or prototypes - we're talking 32,000 kg of steam frames. that's a lot of hardware, and it's pretty clear that valve is gearing up to actually release the thing soon.
