omg, you guys, have you heard the latest rumor about valve? apparently, they're working on something called steamgpt, which is basically an ai bot that's supposed to help with support and anti-cheat stuff. i mean, i'm not sure how i feel about this - on the one hand, it's cool that valve is trying to stay ahead of the game and all, but on the other hand, it's a bit creepy to think about ai being involved in our gaming experience.

so, from what i've heard, some dude found references to steamgpt in valve's source code, and it seems like it's going to be used for a bunch of different tasks, like managing account security and trust scores. there's also talk about it being used to help with customer support, which i guess could be kind of cool - i mean, who hasn't gotten frustrated with waiting for a response from a support team at some point? but at the same time, i'm not sure i want to be talking to a robot when i have a problem with my game.

one of the things that's got some people worried is the anti-cheat aspect of steamgpt. apparently, it would need to have access to a lot of our personal data, like our gameplay history and profile info, in order to effectively catch cheaters. and, i mean, i get it - cheating is a huge problem in online games, and we need something to be done about it. but at the same time, it's a bit unnerving to think about valve having that much access to our personal stuff.
