omg, you guys, i just heard about something that could literally change the way we shop for games on steam. apparently, valve is working on this thing called the framerate estimator, which is going to give us an idea of how well a game will run on our computers before we even buy it. i mean, can you think of anything more convenient than that?

so basically, here's how it's going to work: you'll be able to input your computer's specs, like your cpu, gpu, and ram, and then steam will give you an estimate of the frame rate you can expect from a particular game. it's not going to be exact, of course, but it'll be based on data from other steam users with similar hardware, so it should be pretty close. and the more people who opt in to sharing their performance data, the more accurate it'll be.

i have to say, i'm really excited about this. i've been burned before by buying a game that looked amazing, only to find out that my computer couldn't handle it. and let's be real, it's not like we can always trust the system requirements listed on the game's page. i mean, who knows what kind of computer they were using to test it? this framerate estimator thing is going to take all the guesswork out of it, and i am so here for it.

apparently, this feature is still in the beta phase, but it's looking like it's going to be rolled out to the general public soon. and from what i've heard, it's not just going to be a simple "yes or no" kind of thing - it'll actually give you a detailed estimate of how well the game will run on your computer. like, it might say somethingRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
