omg, you guys, have you heard about the mecha chameleon drama that just went down? like, this game is literally one of the biggest hits on steam right now, and it just got hit with a major malware scare. apparently, some of the user-made maps on the steam workshop contained malware, which is just wild. i mean, who expects to download a map and end up with malware on their pc?



so, from what i've gathered, it all started when some researcher found a suspicious map on the workshop, and upon further inspection, they discovered that it had malware embedded in it. the map in question was called laser tag neon, and it was quickly removed from the workshop after the news broke. but, in a crazy twist, another infected map popped up to take its place - chroma grid arena, i think it was called. thankfully, that one got taken down too.



the dev team behind mecha chameleon, lemorion_1224, was super quick to respond to the situation, and they assured everyone that the game itself is safe and doesn't contain any malware. they also clarified that the whole thing started when their discord server got hacked, and the hacker was spreading false info about the game being infected. like, can you even imagine? it's just so crazy that someone would do that.
