omg, you guys, it's been ages since we've had a new far cry game to freak out about, but it looks like ubisoft is finally cooking up something new and exciting. apparently, they've got not one, but two far cry projects in the works, and i am so here for it.

so, let's talk about the first one, which is codenamed kodiak. it's being developed by vantage studios, which is a new subsidiary of ubisoft and tencent, and it's supposed to be an open-world first-person shooter that focuses on player interactions and stories. i love the sound of that, because it sounds like it could be really immersive and fun. plus, it's always cool to see games that let us take the reins and drive the story forward.

but, what's really interesting is that kodiak isn't the only far cry game in development. there's also another one, codenamed blackbird, which is supposed to be the next mainline far cry game, aka far cry 7. this one's been in the works for years, but it's had some development problems, which is why we haven't heard much about it until now. supposedly, it's back on track, and it's going to be a traditional single-player game with a multiplayer component, which could be co-op, because that's something the series has done before.

i'm really curious to see how these two games turn out, because they sound like they could be really different from each other. blackbird seems like it's going to be more of a traditional far cry experience, while kodiak could be something entirely new and experimental. and, who knows, maybe we'll get to see both of them sooner rather than laterRead more: Full article on www.eurogamer.net
