omg, you guys, there's some crazy news in the pokemon trading card game world. so, apparently these two brothers tried to steal a ton of pokemon cards - we're talking over £71,000 worth - and they got caught by the police. i mean, i love pokemon cards as much as the next person, but that's just insane. i can barely afford to buy a few booster packs, let alone try to steal thousands of pounds worth of cards.



anyway, enough about those guys. there's some actually cool news about the pokemon tcg that i'm super excited about. have you heard about the 30th anniversary set? it's supposed to have all foil cards, which is just amazing. i love the way foil cards look, they're so shiny and pretty. and on top of that, there are going to be 30 new unique pikachu illustrations, which is just adorable. i'm a total sucker for pikachu, so i'm definitely going to have to get my hands on some of these cards.



there's also a new set called the pokémon trading card game classic, which is a £400 set that revives old cards. i'm not sure if i can afford to drop that kind of cash on a set of cards, but it sounds like it could be really cool for serious collectors. and if you're looking for some cheaper pokemon cards, mcdonald's uk is doing a happy meal promotion in august where you can get some free cards. it's not exactly the most exciting thing, but hey, free cards are free cards, right?
