omg, you guys, have you heard about twitch's latest move? basically, they're using streams to train their ai models, and it's all pretty shady. like, i get that amazon owns twitch and all, but using user content without permission is just not cool. and the worst part is, even their own execs don't know what kind of user data has been scooped up in the process.



i mean, think about it - if you're a streamer, you're basically putting your face and voice out there for the world to see. and now, twitch is just taking that content and using it to train their ai models, without even asking. it's like, hello, isn't that a huge copyright issue waiting to happen? and what about all the game footage they're scraping? don't the game publishers have a say in this?



apparently, twitch has added an opt-out setting, but you have to go digging through their security settings to even find it. and of course, it's set to enable ai stream-gobbling by default, because why would they make it easy for us to say no? it's just so typical of big companies to prioritize their own interests over their users'. and let's be real, even if you do opt out, it's not like you're exempt from all of twitch's ai-supported tools or anything.
