omg you guys, have you heard about this super old 3do shooter called po'ed? it's like, a total blast from the past, and nightdive studios just remastered it, so we can finally check it out on pc. i'm all about retro games, and i love digging into the history of console gaming, so this is pretty cool to me.

so, apparently po'ed was one of the first console fps games, and it was released way back in 1995. it was developed by any channel, and published by the 3do company. i think it's pretty wild that the 3do was actually the first console to try to take on pc gaming's fps dominance - i mean, we all know how that turned out, but still. anyway, po'ed was supposed to be this big competitor to all the other fps games out at the time, but it basically got lost in the shuffle.

i have to say, i was kinda excited to try out po'ed, just to see what all the fuss was about. but, honestly, it's not that great. i mean, the premise is okay, i guess - you're this guy who's trying to escape from an alien planet, and you have to fight your way through all these weird creatures. but the gameplay is just so... clunky. and the graphics, even with the remaster, are still pretty rough. i know it's an old game, but still, i expected a bit more.
