so i just heard that the solo dev behind road to vostok, a pretty cool survival shooter game, is taking a bit of a break after its successful early access launch. and honestly, i think that's super smart of him. the game's been doing really well, but pushing out updates and fixes too quickly can be super tricky, especially when you're running on fumes.

i mean, the dev, antti leinonen, has already said that getting the game to this point required some crazy long work hours, and i can imagine how tempting it must be to just dive right back in and start tweaking things. but at the same time, he's been around the block a few times and knows that making changes when you're not fully rested can lead to more problems down the line. it's like, you might fix one thing, but then you accidentally break two other things, you know?

anyway, leinonen's planning to take about a week to just chill and get his energy back, and then he'll start working on some hotfixes. after that, he's going to take a proper break, which is something he hasn't had in like four years, and that's just wild. i feel like we should all be sending him some serious relaxation vibes or something. and when he does get back to work, he's got some pretty cool stuff planned, including a big update called nomads that'll add a new map, shelter, and some other goodies.
