apparently, this crisis is way different from the one that happened with gpus a few years ago. back then, it was just cryptominers buying up all the cards, but now it's like, everything is affected - memory, storage, the whole works. and it's not just a little price hike, either - we're talking twice or even three times the original price. jese martinez, the founder of powergpu, said that they've had to get creative just to stay afloat, like moving to a smaller warehouse and stocking up on memory and storage when they could.
