okay, so i just heard about this game called noirmancer and i'm totally stoked - it's like a stealth sim with a dash of supernatural powers, kinda like dishonored, but with a harder edge, you know, like a film noir vibe. you play as this sleuth with some crazy abilities, like being able to swim in midair or transform into vapour, which is just so cool.

i love that the game has this really whimsical feel to it, with hand animations that look like they belong to a stage magician, and the sound effects are all jazzy and atmospheric, it's like you're in a whole different world. and instead of using a blackjack to take down guards, you just snap your fingers and they're out cold, it's so slick. but at the same time, you can't just rely on your powers all the time, you have to use some old-school stealth tactics too, like sneaking around and eavesdropping on conversations.

the game takes place in this city at night, with a really unique visual style that's all white outlines and rippling footsteps, it's kinda synesthetic, which is a word i just learned, but it fits, right? the missions are all about snooping around, cracking safes, and finding secrets, which is just my jam. and if you're really nosy, you can even find ways to exploit the bad guys' back-door dealings, which sounds like so much fun.
