i mean, think about it - doom 2016 was an epic game that took a ton of people and resources to make. it was released on pretty much every platform, including nintendo switch, pc, ps4, and xbox one. and now, microsoft is just expecting id software to produce something similar with half the team? it's not gonna happen. the lead dev, chris hayes, said it's basically impossible to make a triple-a game without all the necessary departments and disciplines in place.
