so i just heard about this crazy project called crankgpt and i'm totally obsessed. basically, it's a tiny ai machine that runs on a hand crank - no massive power station or anything like that. it's just a little box with a raspberry pi inside, and it can do some pretty cool stuff like voice recognition and text-to-speech.



i love that it's so low-tech, you know? it's like a throwback to the old days of gaming when we didn't need all this fancy hardware to have fun. and the best part is, it's totally offline and private, which is a big deal in today's world. the creators of crankgpt built their own special software to make it all work, and it's pretty impressive.



one of the coolest things about crankgpt is that it shows us a possible way out of the current memory crisis. you see, most ai machines need a ton of power and memory to run, but this little guy can get by with just a tiny processor and some basic storage. it's like, what if we didn't need all that fancy hardware to make ai work? what if we could just use the stuff we already have, like our phones or laptops?
