so i just heard about the latest update from the skyblivion team, and i'm kinda relieved to hear that they're still on track to release this massive mod in 2026. for those who don't know, skyblivion is basically a recreation of the elder scrolls 4: oblivion using the newer tech from the elder scrolls 5: skyrim special edition. it's been a long time coming, and i've been following the progress for a while now.

i was a bit worried when i heard they put out a new call for help, thinking that maybe they were struggling to meet their deadline. but apparently, the lead dev rebelzize is feeling pretty optimistic about the whole thing. they've already finished all the quest locations and are just doing some polish and bug fixes now. the imperial city, which was a major hurdle last year, has finally gotten the breakthrough they needed, so that's a big plus.
