omg, have you guys noticed that vanquish is suddenly super popular on steam again? i mean, it's not like it was a hidden gem or anything, but it's definitely getting the love it deserves right now. apparently, there's been a huge spike in players over the last month - we're talking a 34.8% increase in peak players, which might not sound like a lot, but it's actually a pretty big deal for a game that's been out for as long as vanquish has.

i think part of the reason for this surge in popularity is the release of capcom's pragmata. i know some people have been comparing the two games, saying they have a similar vibe, and i can kind of see why. both are third-person shooters with a strong focus on action, and they both have that whole "cool guy in a suit" thing going on. but for me, vanquish is in a league of its own - the knee-sliding mechanics are just so much fun, and the whole game has this amazing sense of style and flair.

one of the things that's really interesting about vanquish is how it's managed to maintain a dedicated fan base over the years. despite being first released back in 2010, it's still getting updates and sales, and people are still discovering it for the first time. in fact, vanquish is currently on sale for 70% off on steam, which is a pretty great deal if you ask me. and with the average player count up by 52.9% over the last month, it's clear that there are plenty of new players joining the party.
