omg, you guys, have you heard that the witcher 3 is getting a brand new expansion? it's called songs of the past and it's set to release in 2027. i'm beyond excited about this because, let's be real, who doesn't love a good witcher game? the expansion is being co-developed by cd projekt red and fool's theory, the same studio that's remaking the first witcher game.

i don't know about you, but i'm really intrigued by this news. it's not every day that a game from 2015 gets a brand new expansion, and i think it's pretty cool that cdpr is breathing new life into an old classic. apparently, the expansion is going to be similar in size to blood and wine, which is a pretty substantial addition to the game. we don't know much about it yet, but we do know that we'll be getting our first glimpse of it on august 25 during gamescom's opening night live event.

i'm really looking forward to seeing what cdpr has in store for us. the company's co-CEO, michał nowakowski, has hinted that the expansion is going to be a "proper big expansion" that will depend on how you play the game. he also mentioned that there might be other witcher 3 content in the works, although we don't know what that is yet. i'm just hoping it's not just a bunch of new beard styles for geralt, although let's be real, that would be kind of awesome too.
