so i just heard about this game called thick as thieves, and i'm kinda torn about it. it's a stealth-focused heist game that's supposed to be like a spiritual successor to thief, which is a classic series i've always loved. the thing that's got me raising an eyebrow, though, is that it's only going to cost $5 when it comes out in may.

i mean, five bucks is an insane price for a game, and at first, i thought it was a great deal. but then i started thinking about it, and i realized that it's probably so cheap because the game itself is going to be pretty short. the devs are saying that the main campaign will be at least four hours long, which isn't a lot of time to get invested in a game. they're also promising that there will be two playable characters, two maps, and 16 contracts to complete, but it all sounds a bit... limited.

i'm not sure what to make of this whole thing, to be honest. on the one hand, it's hard to complain about a game that's only five dollars. if it's bad, i won't have wasted a lot of money, and if it's good, i'll have gotten a great deal. on the other hand, i was really hoping for a more substantial experience, especially since the devs are trying to evoke the spirit of thief. i guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out when the game launches on steam and the epic games store on may 20.
