omg, you guys, i have the most amazing news - darktide is finally getting a new class, the skitarii, and i am beyond excited. i mean, we all knew it was only a matter of time before fatshark gave in to our prayers and brought us a cog boy, but june 23rd can't come soon enough.



i have to admit, i was a bit let down when the hive scum class was announced, don't get me wrong, they're cool and all, but there's just something about the adeptus mechanicus that draws me in. and now, with the skitarii class, we're getting the chance to explore that fantasy in a whole new way. apparently, we'll be able to customize our skitarii to our heart's content, choosing everything from materials to augment patterns and even voice modulation - yes, you read that right, we can finally get that electronic vox quality without having to buy a helmet.



one of the things that's really caught my attention is the skitarii's access to a las-pistol wielding servo skull minion, which can not only heal us but also equip a flame thrower - talk about a game changer. and with the new class comes new specialisms, including a ranged focus as a "long-range assassin" or a more up close and personal "frenzied servant of the omnissiah" - either way, it sounds like we're in for a treat.
