omg, you guys, marathon just got a major update and it's literally changing the game. they're introducing this new mode called vault breaker, which is like a roguelite pve experience that's only available for two weeks. i know, i know, it's not a lot of time, but trust me, you're gonna want to jump in and check it out.



so, vault breaker takes place in the cryo archive map and you can play solo, with a friend, or with two friends - it's super flexible. the goal is to raid these vaults, take down enemies, and get out without dying. sounds easy, right? but here's the thing, the vaults get harder and harder as you progress, so you've got to decide when to call it quits and extract. and the best part? you can upgrade your sponsored kit with this new currency called vault data, which is basically the key to getting stronger and surviving longer.



i love that vault breaker is a separate mode, so you don't have to worry about it affecting your normal gameplay experience. and, let's be real, it's a great way to get new players into the game. i mean, who doesn't love a good challenge, right? plus, if you manage to take down a usec commander, you'll get some sweet rewards, even if you don't make it out alive. and, fun fact, the vault data you earn can be used to buy gear outside of the vault breaker mode, which is pretty cool.
