so i just heard about this new game ex sanguis, and i'm super stoked because it's from the same devs as othercide, which i've been obsessed with lately. if you haven't played othercide, it's basically a tactics rpg with a really dark and melancholy vibe, where you control these sorrowful clone characters in super intense battles. and from what i've seen, ex sanguis is going to be pretty similar, but with some new twists.

one of the things that caught my attention is the emphasis on exploiting the environment to take down your enemies. like, you can use these gross but awesome blood blisters to hurt your foes, or launch them into each other for extra damage. it's all about timing and control, which i love because it adds a whole new layer of strategy to the game. and speaking of timing, the devs seem to be carrying over some of the same mechanics from othercide, like the initiative system and reaction abilities.

ex sanguis is set to release on september 10th, and there's already a demo available on steam. i'm definitely going to check it out and see how it compares to othercide. from what i've read, the game has a more roguelite feel, with a choice of abilities when your characters level up and a world map to explore. you can take on different missions and choose your own path, which sounds really cool. and of course, the story seems just as dark and intriguing as othercide, with another complex maternal figure at the center.

i'm also excited to see how the new abilities in ex sanguis will change up the gameplay. like, there's this one move that launches enemies across the battlefield, and another that pullsRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
