omg, you guys, i just heard about the most amazing thing - a fan-made multiplayer mod for the last of us part 2 is coming out in september! i know, i know, it's not the same as the cancelled factions game, but i'm still super stoked. the modder, speclizer, has been working on it since the start of the year and it's already looking pretty sweet.



so, apparently, the mod has just hit a major milestone - it can now handle 4v4 matches, which is a huge deal. before, it was only limited to 1v1 matches, so this is a big step up. the modder has also been sharing updates on social media, and it looks like they've got a functioning leaderboard and a few different maps, including the seraphite forest map. i'm loving the sound of this, and i'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on it.



one of the things that's really impressive about this mod is how smooth it looks. i mean, you'd think that a fan-made mod would be a bit rough around the edges, but from what i've seen, it's got a really polished feel to it. the modder is even working on getting the animations to sync up properly, which is a big part of what makes the last of us games look so good. and, of course, it's got all the features you'd expect from a multiplayer mode, including a main menu, map selection, and gear loadouts.
