omg, you guys, have you heard about guild wars 3? it's like, the next big thing in the guild wars series, and it's going to be set in a totally different time period than the previous games. apparently, it's going to take place 1200 years before the events of the first guild wars, which is like, a huge deal. i mean, we've always known that the world of tyria is a godless place, but now we're going to get to see why the gods actually left.



i love that the devs are going backwards in time instead of forwards - it's like, a whole new story to tell, and it's not just a rehashing of the same old plot. plus, it's set in the land of orr, which is like, this super special place that was favoured by the gods. it's where all the temples and holy cities were, and it's just so cool to think about what it would be like to be there when the gods were still around. and, of course, it's also the site of the first guild war, which is like, this huge conflict between the different kingdoms of tyria.



so, guild wars 3 is going to start just before all this takes place, and it's going to be like, a totally new experience, even for people who have played the previous games. the studio head, colin johanson, said that this time period is like, the root of all the mysteries and stories in the guild wars universe, so it's going to be really interesting to see how everything unfolds. and, from what i've heard, the game is going to have some pretty cool quests and storylines, especially for people who are already familiar with the
