omg, you guys, have you heard the latest about grand theft auto 6? it's finally getting a gameplay reveal, and i'm beyond hyped. but, like, in a super weird way - it's going to be on netflix first. yes, you read that right, netflix. i mean, i love a good streaming service as much as the next person, but this just seems kinda... random.



so, apparently, the reveal is set to drop on august 27 at 9 pm est, which is august 28 at 2 am bst for all my uk friends out there. and, if you don't have a netflix subscription, don't worry - it'll also be coming to youtube six hours later. i guess that's a decent compromise, but still, it's pretty wild that netflix managed to score a six-hour exclusivity deal with rockstar. i'm guessing this is all part of their plan to get more gamers on board with their service.



i have to admit, i'm a bit skeptical about all this. netflix hasn't exactly had the best track record when it comes to videogames - they've tried to get into the game development scene before, and it didn't exactly go well. but hey, maybe this is a smarter move. instead of trying to make their own games, they're just partnering with existing devs to offer exclusive content. it's a pretty clever way to get people to sign up for a subscription, if you ask me.
