i mean, linux gaming has been around for a while, but it's still not super mainstream. however, with more and more people getting into it, it's no surprise that big companies like epic are starting to take notice. and it's not just epic - valve is also working on adding more support for linux, especially with the steam deck being so popular. it's nice to see that there are more options for gamers who don't want to use windows or macos.

so, what does this mean for us? well, it looks like we'll have a native epic games launcher on linux, which is a big deal. right now, we have to use third-party launchers like heroic games launcher to access the epic games store on linux. but soon, we'll have an official launcher that's made by epic themselves. it's not clear when exactly it'll be released, but the fact that the dev said "soon" suggests that it's in the works.

i'm pretty stoked about this, to be honest. i've been using linux on and off for a while now, and it's great to see that it's becoming more viable for gaming. and with gog galaxy for linux also on the way, it looks like we'll have even more options for gaming on linux in the future. preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're interested in checking out linux gaming, now might be a good time to start looking into it.Read more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
