ok, so you know how sometimes you just wanna play something super old and obscure? like, who needs the latest graphics and gameplay when you can have cheesy fmv and weird storylines? that's where scummvm comes in - it's this amazing tool that makes old pc games playable on modern machines, and it just got a major update.



i'm really excited about this because scummvm isn't just limited to adventure games anymore - it can play all sorts of old pc games on tons of different platforms, from windows and macs to the nintendo wii. and the best part is, it's always adding support for new game engines and games, so you can discover all these hidden gems that you never knew existed. like, have you ever heard of crime patrol 2: drug wars? it's this fmv shooter from the 90s that's just so bad it's good.



the new update added support for eight games, including mad dog mccree, which is kind of famous for being super cheesy. but the one that really caught my eye is necronomicon: the dawning of darkness - it's this lovecraftian adventure game that one youtuber gave a 2/10, saying it was "awful" and "certified crap". and you know what? that just makes me want to play it even more. i mean, who doesn't love a good trainwreck, right? it's available on gog, so i might just have to check it out.
