omg, you guys, i just heard that magic: the gathering is coming out with a new set called secrets of strixhaven, and i am so stoked. it's a sequel to the original strixhaven set, which was all about a wizard school that's basically magic's own take on the whole harry potter vibe. but, you know, without being actual harry potter.

i was a bit worried that they'd do a harry potter crossover, especially since hasbro (the company that owns magic) just partnered with warner bros to make harry potter toys and games. but thankfully, that's not happening. instead, we get to go back to strixhaven and see what's been going on with the students and teachers since the last set. and honestly, i'm really glad they're doing this - strixhaven is such a cool setting, and it's way more interesting than just doing a harry potter crossover.

one of the things i love about strixhaven is that it's not just a school for magic - they also teach regular subjects like art, biology, and math. it's like, yeah, magic is cool and all, but you also need to know how to do regular stuff like balance a budget and write a paper. and the fact that it's a university instead of a high school makes it feel way more mature and realistic. i mean, the students are all young adults, so it's not like they're just a bunch of kids running around waving wands.

anyway, i'm super excited to see what secrets of strixhaven has in store for us. i've heard that it takes place a few years after the last set, and that there's been some big changesRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
