omg, you guys, team liquid just won the world of warcraft race to world first for the fourth year in a row! i'm still reeling from the drama that went down on the isle of quel'danas. it was a super close competition between team liquid and team echo, with both teams going head-to-head for two whole weeks.



i mean, can you even imagine dedicating that much time and effort to defeating a single raid boss? team echo was looking pretty strong at one point, with a best-in-world pull of 4.07%. but in the end, team liquid managed to snatch the win by executing the secret fourth phase of the l'ura fight. apparently, it was a total game-changer that shocked everyone, including the casters and onlookers.



the l'ura fight had three known phases for most of the competition, but team liquid was the first to get her down to 0 health during the third phase. and then, just when they thought they'd won, they discovered that there was a whole new phase ahead of them. i've seen the video of their reactions, and it's pretty hilarious. they're all cheering and celebrating, thinking they've won, and then they realize that l'ura is regenerating her health and they've got another phase to go.
